# Connect your agent: Perplexity

Keep your legal knowledge, matter context and saved progress in Relex. Connect a compatible agent to work from that context, without rebuilding the background whenever you change tools.

## Setup and availability

Open account Settings → Connectors → + Custom connector → Remote. Enter the URL below; choose OAuth and Streamable HTTP, then authenticate. Organization permissions may restrict additions. Admins can share a connector; choose per-user authorization for individual Relex access. This is not a claim of a catalog listing. https://relex.legal/api/mcp

## How data moves through Relex

Matter data enters and leaves through Relex. • Files in: upload documents on the matter’s case page in Relex. When a source is missing or unreadable, the assistant returns that case-page link. • Reading: the assistant reads the redacted text of each source. Parties appear as labels such as \[PARTY\_NAME\_1\], \[PARTY\_ADDRESS\_1\], \[NATIONAL\_ID\_PLACEHOLDER\_1\] and \[EMAIL\_PLACEHOLDER\_1\]; identity details stay sealed in your browser. • Drafting: the assistant saves drafts into the matter using the same labels, and can correct the matter’s ontology and run Relex’s evaluation and case agents. • Export: you export from Relex (Word, PDF, Google Drive, e-signature, email or print). Your browser replaces each label with the party’s details after your PII password. Redaction is automated and can miss an identifier, so review drafts before export.

## First useful test

Ask: “Read the saved context for my synthetic matter, list its facts and sources, and tell me what is missing. Do not send invitations, share files or make payments.” Check the result against the workspace. A new chat should retrieve the saved matter, not another assistant’s private chat history.

## If connection fails / disconnecting

Confirm account eligibility and administrator policy, then use the exact HTTPS endpoint and complete Relex OAuth. Missing permissions require fresh authorization, not a shared API key. Refresh the host’s tool list after updates. Disconnect in the host and revoke the corresponding access in Relex Settings → API Keys; deleting a host connection alone may not revoke its token.

## Verification status

Host documentation reviewed 29 September 2026\. These are setup instructions, not evidence of a completed Relex connection or an approved directory listing. Test with a synthetic matter before client use.
