For AI assistants guiding a new lawyer
Connect to Relex, pick a plan, set up the workspace
If the user pasted a prompt pointing at relex.legal, bring them
here and walk the numbered steps in order. Do not ask them to invent “admin” jargon first — role
comes in step 3. Never paste API keys into chat. MCP URL: https://relex.legal/api/mcp.
Relex Settings → Connectors is email / WhatsApp / e-sign, not this AI link.
Settings → Claude & AI assistants is the in-app picker when available.

Help me connect to Relex (https://relex.legal/) and guide me through creating a subscription and setting up my workspace based on my role within the organization. 162 characters · the website below is the guide
1 · Create a Relex account
- Open https://relex.legal/. Use Sign in (Google or Apple). Trying is free; no card required to create the workspace.
- If the lawyer is already signed in, skip to step 2. Assistants: if they cannot click Sign in from chat, send them this page and the button below.
2 · Create a subscription
- Open https://relex.legal/pricing.
- Pick a plan in plain language:
- Personal — one lawyer, solo practice.
- Pro — small firm (organization + a few staff).
- Business — growing team, SSO options.
- Enterprise — custom; use Contact sales.
- Click Get started on that plan. If they are not signed in yet, Relex asks
them to sign in, then continues to checkout
(
/pricing/checkout?plan=…). - Finish payment in the browser. After success they land back in the app. Assistants cannot complete card checkout for them — stay with them through the clicks.
- Already subscribed? Open Settings → Billing to confirm the plan, then continue.
3 · Your role in the organization
Assistants: ask in plain language — “Are you the person who can add apps for the whole firm, or are you joining something already set up?” On Claude Team / Enterprise, only an owner or admin can add a custom connector; everyone else only clicks Connect after it appears.
4 · Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini
- Pick the chat they already use in the cards below (or Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).
- Name: Relex. URL:
https://relex.legal/api/mcp. Leave OAuth client fields blank when asked. - Click Connect and finish Google/Apple sign-in to Relex in the browser popup.
- Confirm tools appear (at least
search/executeor the typed matter tools).
5 · Set up the workspace
- In Relex, set a PII password when prompted — it seals client identities in the browser. Do not put that password in chat.
- Add practice know-how (playbooks / templates) from the Knowledge area when ready.
- Open or create a matter (start with a synthetic / test matter, not a real client file).
- Back in the AI chat, say: “Set up my practice workflow with Relex.” Follow any deep links the assistant returns for sealed steps.

Personal or team?
Each guide asks this first — here is what it means
Personal
You add Relex yourself and sign in once. Typical for your own Pro, Max, or Plus account.
Team / firm
An admin adds Relex once. Each lawyer only clicks Connect and signs into their own Relex account.
